A bralette is a soft bra with no underwire or heavy padding. Lace bralettes have been trending lately for a good reason!
They’re really comfortable and give your boobs a break. They also look good and pretty under clothing! If you’re wearing a regular bra, you probably don’t want any straps to peek through. But a bralette looks cute under clothing and you might actually enjoy showing it off. This makes bralettes perfect for summer, hot weather, and festivals.
They’re also a better choice for sleeping or lounging around for many women.
What if I have big boobs?
You can still wear a bralette as long as you feel comfortable in it. Sizing might be an issue, since most bralettes only come in standard sizes from small to large. If you have a small ribcage and bigger boobs, you might have more trouble finding one that fits.
Another issue is support. You’re not going to get a ton of support from your bralette, but as long as this doesn’t make you uncomfortable, don’t be discouraged to rock a bralette no matter your boob size!
If you have big boobs and decide that a bralette isn’t for you, you can still go for that laid-back lacy look with a regular bra.
Most Supportive: Cosabella
The bralettes above are by Cosabella. They’re great for those who need a tad more support than your average bralette. They’re also a bit more pricey than the average bralette, but it’s worth it! The black one is available here and the light pink one is available here.
Best Bang For Your Buck: b.tempt’d
This is another nice one called the Lace Kiss Bralette by b.tempt’d. I love many others b.tempt’d bras and although many Wacoal bras look a little bit matronly, their b.tempt’d line is much more sexy. The quality is awesome for the low price, but it won’t provide as much support as the Cosabella bralette mentioned above. It comes in three sizes.
Best For Small Chest: Anemone
These Anemone bralettes are really cute. If you’re a member of the IBTC (Itsy Bitsy Tittie Committee), you’re in luck and these bralettes will fit you very nicely. You might even be able to pull them off instead of a bra for some occasions. What’s great about them is that they come in packs. There are dozens of colors to choose from, and you can mix and match. They’re also very inexpensive. The first model is available here and the second one is available here.
