A longline strapless bra has many advantages over a simple strapless bra.
Because the band is much wider, it provides better support. This also prevents it from riding down throughout the day.
Another pro is that you can wear this bra under some low-back dresses, since the large and allows the bra to have a lower back!
All these things make longline bras especially great for those with bigger breasts, although everyone will benefit from these advantages!
Now it depends what you’re occasion you need this bra for. I’ve put together a list of the best longline strapless bras out there, and I hope you find the one that’s right for you!
This Freya Deco Shape Longline (click for price) is a classic, short longline bra. It’s going to give you plenty of extra support, and I also love the front detail, especially in the black version! It has two decorative buttons and a pretty (yet subtle) floral print.
About the sizing, this is where Freya bras shine. This bra is available in band sizes from 28 to 38. It also goes up to bigger cup sizes. If you wear a small band size, I know how difficult it is to find THE perfect bra, so definitely check this one out.
If you need a bigger band size, keep reading!
If you’re a sucker for pretty, colorful designs like I am, you’re going to love this Gossard Graceful Longline (click for price). It’s feminine yet sexy, and fits like a glove. The straps are removable and it has a 3-hook closure, making it snug and secured. I also have to say that the quality and detailing on this bra is fab. Props to Gossard for this lovely strapless longline!
This is the famous Soiree Bustier by Le Mystere (amazon.com, click for price — LeMystere.com, $79). The structure of this longline is amazingly done. It’s a longer longline (which is why Le Mystere refers to this bra as a bustier). This means it’s going to hold in that little tummy pooch you may or may not have.
This one also has optional straps, and here’s what’s great about their placement: you can pop them in and wear them under a dress with a very wide neckline. This is only going to be a downside for those with narrow or droopy shoulders. If that’s you, then you can still benefit from this bra — just without the straps.
Are you a bride-to-be or a bridesmaid? This one’s it. The ultimate special occasion longline! Coming in a wide range of sizes, this is also the perfect plus size strapless longline bra for those with bigger chests. It won’t ride down, but it will hide any tummy pooch.
Unlike the one above, this Cosabella Marni Strapless Plunge Back ($124.75, Journelle.com) is a plunge bra. This means that if your necklines are low and/or you enjoy showing some cleavage, this is the one to go for.
Also, if you want to invest in a strapless longline that’s going to last you a long time, that’s comfortable, and that fits well, I would suggest this one. It’s pricey, but you can wear it with so many types of dresses. Get this bra and it’s going to work with 98% of your dresses. Unless you’re really into backless dresses, of course!
How cute is this bra?! Lovely retro style, polka dots, lace trim, a little peek-a-boo in the center with a bow… Introducing the Blush Retro Runway Star ($48, Journelle.com) The straps come off and it still looks just as pretty strapless! There’s also a really nice lace detail in the back (which you can’t really see here, but it’s really pretty!).
Beautiful longline bra and beautiful construction! This is the Heidi Klum Lune de Miel Longline ($80, Journelle.com). It’s delicate, looks expensive, and give you a little extra oomph. Just make sure you order your correct size to get that uplifting effect! You might want to size down in the band and size up in the cup.
